After arriving at Xhebro guesthouse, the first thing that catches your eye are the facilities where the family’s dairy products are produced, where every morning the shepherds from the surrounding summer pastures bring their milk, some by car, but most by horses or mules.
In 1991, the family opened a dairy near the village square of Nivicë, and then another dairy at the current location, in 2000. Due to the altitude and cold climate of the place where the activity is located, which are favorable for the animals, they succeeded in increasing the quality and quantity of cheese produced. The position of the dairy significantly favors the transport time of the milk produced by the shepherds in the mountains, from about 15 summer pastures that they have.
The guesthouse uses mainly sheep and goat milk and only a small percentage of cow’s milk. The exceptional quality and freshness of these products can be enjoyed during a meal in the pleasant and warmly decorated restaurant on the first floor. Almost everything you see in the dishes you will eat at Xhebro guesthouse is produced in a very fast time.
For those who want to take a walk after eating, the options are endless. A short climb offers views of the slopes with grass and flowers, as well as a nearby forest, through which a path connects you to the village of Nivicë.
