As the name suggests, this activity deals with the cultivation of mussels in Lake Butrint. It is a family business initiated more than 20 years ago. The most important producers and suppliers of mussels in the country, Shtëpia e midhjeve supplies the largest seafood warehouses in Tirana and Durrës. In 2017, on the edge of Butrint Lake, the restaurant was built, a few meters away from the mussel cultivation plants. Customers, in addition to being able to enjoy mussel cooked in various forms, have the opportunity to visit the plants, but also to see up close how mussels are cultivated.
