A three-storey building in traditional style, by the main road, less than 10 minutes drive south of Peshkopi. In 2008, they started producing and selling trahana, as well as jufka. Both are traditional staple foods in an area where winters are long and cold.
While the restaurant’s menu features a wide variety of products, ranging from cutlets, lamb, roast beef, steak and livers, to house-made loaves and pies, the specialty of the house is, not surprisingly, a portion chicken with jufka.
In the cozy atmosphere of the restaurant, decorated with all kinds of ethnographic items, including a traditional Ottoman-style mahogany by the fireplace, musical instruments, a wooden cradle for children, pottery and kitchen utensils and with a view of the surrounding mountains, through a large wooden window, every meal here is destined to leave an impression that lasts.
On the floor above the restaurant, the hotel’s corridors and rooms (on the second floor) convey a pleasant balance between modern and traditional.
There are many trails in the area, suitable for all fitness levels, which are within a short distance of the hotel, including short walks to the cave and waterfall of Sopanika and the gorge of Seta near Arras, the village of Rabdisht with its houses old stone ones still intact, or the Hinoska pastures. For more experienced hikers, Peshkopia is an excellent entry point for hiking the high mountain trails, or for a three-day trip to the summit of Mount Korab, the highest mountain in Albania and Macedonia. For a more relaxed stay, visitors can explore the quiet town of Peshkopi and nearby thermal waters.
