Fustanella Farm

Information

Fustanella Farm, an agritourism enterprise, in the Zaranikë neighborhood of Petrela. Fustanella is composed of a small guesthouse with three rooms, agricultural farms and an organic restaurant that operates according to the principle “from the field, straight to the table.”
The farm produces a wide range of vegetables, generally local crops, but also new crops that have entered our country in recent years. The restaurant offers Mediterranean and Balkan cuisine, following and reinterpreting traditional recipes cooked for centuries in the hearths of homes, where the fustanella was and still is worn.
The menu is seasonal and based directly on the produce of the plots surrounding the restaurant and guesthouse. The dishes are accompanied by several selected varieties of wines and distillates, mostly local, fresh fruit juices, homemade compotes and organic teas. The dishes are made only with fresh seasonal products, turned into a daily or weekly menu, with Albanian, Greek, Arberesh specialties, which are combined with seasonal appetizers, very dear to the southern Balkans.

The farm’s goal is to be 100% organic, without using any pesticides or chemicals, except for organic fertilizers and preservatives.
Fustanella Farm is surrounded by natural beauty, but also with a lot of history. Petrela Castle is located only a few hundred meters away and can be seen freely from any corner of Fustanella. Not far away, towards the southeast, there is the Monumental Tomb of the ancient Illyrian settlement of Persqop and a little further the walls of the settlement. Natural beauties are everywhere around, such as: Black Cave in the village of Pëllumbasi, Ciklopi eye,  waterfall near Krraba, Farka Lake, etc., making this area a favorite place for lovers of history, walks, sport, as well as good food.
